The Covid-19 pandemic has led to diminished community support for the Mentally Handicapped group, causing unfortunate family tragedy hence we urge for public attention and support to this disadvantaged group. Social Enterprise Research Academy (SERA), as a supporting organization, aligned with the Chinese University of Hong Kong MBA Alumni Association (CUMBA Alumni Association) has organized a “Mid-Autumn Festival Social Caring” project for St. James’ Settlement – Sunny Residence, Parkside Residence, and Greenery Residence Branches.
There are approximately 150 people benefited from this event, including moderate to severe intellectual disabilities and their parents.
Special thanks to Social Seed for the liaison with Hong Kong Hang Heung Cake Shop for donating 100 moon cakes and mask company M4B for donating 4,000 masks. We would like to spread the care and encouragement to people and organizations in need on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
