The Social Enterprise Research Academy 10th Anniversary cum Fellowship Celebration Dinner 2024 was successfully held on August 29, 2024 at the Renaissance Wan Chai Harbour View Hotel. It was our honour to have all the Fellows and guests to witness and share the joy. During the cocktail reception, we actively engaged in industry matching and sharing, and exchanged ideas with each other. The evening was also graced by a number of distinguished guests including SERA Honorary President Dr. Ko Wing-man, GBS, JP, Mr. Eddie Ng, GBS, JP and Prof. Edward Chen, Former President of Lingnan University, who shared their insights and knowledge across different topics.

Guest Speaker Prof. Edward K Y Chan GBS, CBE, JP mentioned that Hong Kong is facing significant economic challenges due to internal structural issues and external geopolitical factors, leading to a cautiously pessimistic short-term outlook. However, there are opportunities for revitalization through cost rationalization and integration with the Greater Bay Area (GBA). In the medium term, the outlook is cautiously optimistic if adjustments are made and new markets are explored.
